Tim Brister serves as a pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cape Coral, Florida.  While a student at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Tim began blogging in early 2005 (timmybrister.com) and a year later started the Band of Bloggers Fellowship (bandofblogger.org)--a yearly meeting of gospel-centered bloggers across the evangelical landscape.  On a local church level, Tim has integrated the new media and networking mediums (such as blog, live-streaming, Facebook, and Twitter) to impact the local community with the gospel.  He has live-blogged numerous conferences and has been interviewed by journalists regarding the impact of social media on churches and pastoral ministry.  Currently, Tim is working on the development of a parenting church community in SW Florida and a decentralized network that will serve church planters in Baptist churches across North America.
